In the Feb. 4 edition of The Eastern Echo, the article “Troy investment firm will climb stairs to fight cancer” incorrectly said the event date is March 5, when the actual date is March 3. The funds raised for the event will fund lung disease research, education and advocacy efforts in the state of Michigan, not just lung cancer. To date, the teams have not yet completed their fundraising. Climbers do not have to complete the event in 12 minutes or less as the article said; that is the Elite race requirement, not the Full, Half, Firefighter or First Responder race requirements.
