The Eastern Michigan University women’s basketball team postponed its scheduled trip to Newtown, Conn., because of a blizzard warning issued for the New England area by the National Weather Service. The team, led by coach Tory Verdi, was going to hold a basketball clinic Sunday, Feb. 10 for 300 children in Newtown. The team plans to reschedule the visit in the near future.
