On Thursday, Jan. 30, motivational speaker, life coach and author Eric Thomas will be returning to Eastern Michigan University to motivate and inspire students who may need that extra push in order to reach the next level.

Thomas came to EMU last year. Many individuals were in awe, and also requested that he come back again this year. Like last year, the event will be sponsored by I.M.A.G.E., Black Student Union, the Center for Multicultural Affairs and the African-American Studies department.

Originally from Detroit, ET the Hip Hop preacher has been through his fair share of adversity. “I used to sleep in abandoned buildings in Downtown Detroit when I was 16 years old,” said Thomas, who is currently preparing to release his second book, “Greatness is Upon You.” “You have to be able to go all in and give 120 percent in whatever it is you plan on doing in your life.”

This event is free of admission and doors will be opening at 7:00 p. m. Thomas will also be selling merchandise after the event.

For more info about all things Eric Thomas, visit etinspires.com and for more information pertaining to the event, contact I.M.A.G.E. President Kristianna Bell at kbell23@emich.edu.
