A former student library employee came back to their former office to take posters and fliers at 10:37 a.m. The student was reported for larceny. After police investigation, the matter was turned over to the university and the former student employee will face consequences under the Student Code of Conduct.
A university employee offered a ride to a young man on campus at 6:23 p.m. After the young man was dropped off at another location in Ypsilanti, the university employee noticed missing credit cards. The missing credit card was then used fraudulently. It is unclear whether or not the young man was a student. This investigation is ongoing.
A female student in Hill Hall reported a male student for hitting her on the buttocks without her permission. The female student said the incident occurred around 10:00 p.m. The university is handling the issue and the male student could face consequences under the Student Code of Conduct.
A student in Best Hall lent another student their debit card and unapproved charges were made on the borrowed card at 11:21 p.m. This investigation is ongoing.
Jan. 17
Police responded to a call about noise in Best Hall at 1:05 a.m. and found minor students consuming and possessing alcohol upon investigating the source of the noise. The university is now handling the issue and the students involved will face consequences under the Student Code of Conduct.
