My sweet tooth doesn’t stop at just solid foods. When I am feeling slightly parched in the wintertime, I like to snuggle up with a good book and sip on some warm, homemade apple cider. If I’m feeling a little more adventurous, I might even go for some non-alcoholic eggnog.
Warmed Apple Cider Recipe
Ingredients:
1 quart apple cider
1/4 cup brown sugar
5 whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick
saucepan
What to do:
Mix all ingredients in saucepan and warm over low-heat for 20 minutes, stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove cloves and cinnamon stick and serve warm.
Eggnog Recipe
Ingredients:
What to do:
Beat eggs in a bowl until stiff while adding sugar, salt and vanilla. Fold in milk and cream, run through a colander and let chill.
