YPD investigating armed robbery

The Ypsilanti Police Department is investigating a reported armed robbery, which occurred around 1:30 a.m. Monday at Peninsular Place Apartments, north of campus.

The victim is a female Eastern Michigan University Student. She told police she was in her apartment when three house guests approached her. Two of the suspects revealed they were carrying handguns and demanded her belongings. There was no report of injuries.

The three suspects fled in a white two-door Pontiac Sunfire. The victim was not able to obtain license plate information.

The victim described the three suspects as black males. One is approximately 5 feet, 4 inches tall with a “high fade” haircut, another was described as “light skinned” with a curly afro armed with a silver revolver, while the third suspect was “dark skinned” and armed with an unknown handgun.
