Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus Live! Is an off broadway show inspired by 1992 novel by John Gray, “Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus.” It is a one man show that combines theatre and stand up comedy. The show will be appearing at Detroit, City Theatre, starring Ryan Drumshow mond, an EMU alumni.
The novel explain an idea that men and women are as different as beings from another planet. The one-man dives into the relationships between men and women, in addition to the different communication styles and emotional needs of the opposite sex.
“It’s a challenge because there is no one else to rely on,” said Drummond, “and on the other hand there's a lot of freedom involved because it’s just you and you have more freedom.”
Drummond is excited to bring his performing back to Michigan, the state he grew up in. Currently he lives with his family in San Francisco, California. He credits persistence as a key to achieving his goal of living as a working actor, and admits to holding on to knowledge with from his time in EMU theatre.
The show is for adults and takes it’s own direction to address the various topics about men, women and beyond.

The play is written by Eric Coble, produced by Emery Entertainment, directed by Mindy Cooper, and animation & video production for the play is by Bazillion Productions.
