Luke and Caleb predict the results of each game on the Lion's schedule. Are we looking at another bleak season, or is there some hope for the home team? Listen to the episode above, or read the highlights below:

WEEK ONE: BEARS @ LIONS SEP.  13th

Caleb’s Prediction: “The Bears were 8 and 8 last season… I think this will be a good test for the players that the Lions picked up in free agency and the draft… Being at home gives Jeff Okudah and D’Andre Swift a nice starting point. I think the Lions win here.”

Luke’s Prediction: “The problem with the Bears last season was their dysfunctional offense. This game will depend on if Chicago can come out solidified and have their offense in sync with their defense, then I don’t think the Lions have a chance. For now, I’ll give this one to the Lions.”

WEEK TWO: LIONS @ PACKERS SEP. 20th

Caleb’s Prediction: “The Packers have had one of the worst drafts in recent history, Aaron Rodgers is old and doesn’t have a ton of help, but Green Bay is a tough place to play. There is a lot up in the air, but I agree that the Packers get the best of the Lions.”

Luke’s Prediction: “The Packers have always had the Lions’ number. The Packers are a really strong franchise and having their third string receiver back will carry the Packers over the Lions.”

WEEK 3: LIONS @ CARDINALS SEP. 27th

Caleb’s Prediction: “Not much to say. With DeAndre Hopkins and Kyler Murray, AND being at home, the Cardinals will blow out the Lions.”

Luke’s Prediction: “This will be the Cardinal’s coming out party, and I think the Cardinals will open up a can of destruction on the Lions. Kyler Murray will take out our young defense.”

WEEK 4: SAINTS @ LIONS OCT. 4th

Caleb’s Prediction: “It doesn’t matter that the Lions are at home here, the Saints are on a whole other level than the Lions. The Saints are contenders and will win this game comfortably by a few scores.”

Luke’s Prediction: “I chalk this up to another loss for the Lions. The Saints have the Lions beat at every position and home field advantage won’t even be close enough to bring the Lions a win.”

WEEK 6: LIONS @ JAGUARS OCT. 18th

Caleb’s Prediction: “After playing four hard games, the Lions finally have an easy one. The Lions have much more fire power than the Jags and I think they overwhelm them easily. Jeff Okudah will have a field day with Gardner Minshew. Chalk this up to a Lions win.”

Luke’s Prediction: “Unless Leonard Fournette balls out of control, I agree that the Lions win this game. The Jags are not going to take this.”

WEEK 7: LIONS @ FALCONS OCT. 25th

Caleb’s Prediction: “The Falcons are most likely a playoff team and have a solid squad, and being at home will make them tough to beat. I’ll give the Lions the nod due to my belief that Jeff Okudah and D’Andre Swift will start to play better by week seven.”

Luke’s Prediction: “The Falcons haven’t impressed me since their Super Bowl appearance a couple of years ago. They’re a middle of the pack team.”

WEEK 8: COLTS @ LIONS NOV. 1st

Caleb’s Prediction: “The Colts recently acquired Phil Rivers to be their quarterback, and the Colts have an above average offense and defense. I don’t think it matters that the Lions are at home here, I think the Colts will win a close game.”

Luke’s Prediction: “The Colts seem like a team that will beat the Lions with their ground and pound game. With Jonathon Taylor and a great offense line, I don’t see how the Lions come out of this game alive.”

WEEK 9: LIONS @ VIKINGS NOV. 11th

Caleb’s Prediction: “The Vikings are very similar to the Colt’s in terms of skill level, and with the Lions being on the road I think they drop this game and move to 3-6 on the year.”

Luke’s Prediction: “There is no way the Lions win this game. The Vikings are arguably the best team in the NFC North.”

WEEK 10: REDSKINS @ LIONS NOV. 15th

Caleb’s Prediction: “Redskins QB Dwayne Haskins has yet to prove himself, and I think the Lions have a very comfortable week winning this game. If I had to stake my reputation on one game this year, this would be that game.”

Luke’s Prediction: “I do think the Skins have a good talent pool to make something happen, but their ownership is so bad that I don’t think they beat the Lions.”

WEEK 11: LIONS @ PANTHERS NOV. 22nd

Caleb’s Prediction: “This game could go either way. It all depends on if the Lion’s defense is playing efficiently at this point in the season. If they’re playing well, I think they contain Christian Mac and win this game.”

Luke’s Prediction: “Asking the Lions to be playing efficiently by this point in the season is a big ask. I don’t think the Lions can contain Christian Mac and I don’t see them winning AT ALL.”

WEEK 12: TEXANS @ LIONS NOV. 26th

Caleb’s Prediction: “Texans are pretty talented, and again they have a really good QB-RB duo. I think, barring injuries, the Lions lose.”

Luke’s Prediction: “Deshaun Watson is incredible, so I don’t see how the Lions contain Watson let alone David Johnson.”

WEEK 13: LIONS @ BEARS DEC. 6th

Caleb’s Prediction: “By this point in the season it is very cold, and since the Lions play indoors this puts the Bears at an advantage. Since I said the Lions would beat the Bears in week one, I’ll give this one to the Bears due to the fact that it’s very hard to beat a team twice in one season.”

Luke’s Prediction: “It’s a very good point that it’s hard to beat a team twice. I think the Bears have an advantage and since the Lions always play bad at the end of the season, I don’t see the Lions winning.”

WEEK 14: PACKERS @ LIONS DEC. 13th

Caleb’s Prediction: “Since this is the second meeting between the Packers and Lions, and because the Lions are at home, I personally think the Lions win. If the Packers are still in the playoff hunt by this point then maybe they fight harder and manage to pull out a win.”

Luke’s Prediction: “I think at this point, this is where the Lions’ players buy out on the team and the ownership. I think the Packers run over the Lions, and I don’t see any way that the Lions win this game.”

WEEK 15: LIONS @ TITANS DEC. 20th

Caleb’s Prediction: “The Titans are very talented and are returning most of their squad. And because they’re at home, I think the Titans absolutely destroy the Lions.”

Luke’s Prediction: “Agreed. I don’t think the Lions have an answer for Derrick Henry and can’t stop the run. Ball control is how the Titans win, and I don’t think the Lions win.”

WEEK 16: BUCANEERS @ LIONS DEC. 27th

Caleb’s Prediction: “The Bucs are an enigma. They could be contenders next year or be below average. It all depends on Tom Brady. If the Bucs are a contender I think they beat the Lions here. If not, then the Lions win. I won’t doubt the GOAT in Tom Brady, I think the Lions lose.”

Luke’s Prediction: “I think we’ll know by week 4 if the Lions win or lose this game. The Bucs could fall apart or come together. We’ll see, but I do not know.”

WEEK 17: VIKINGS @ LIONS

Caleb’s Prediction: “Second time playing the Vikings, and with the Vikings being a playoff team I think they rest their starters this week, giving the Lions an easier game at home. It’s very on brand for the Lions to win a meaningless game to hurt their draft pick.”

Luke’s Prediction: “You’ve won me over. Due to all of the points you made, and because it’s very hard to beat the same team twice in one season, I think the Lions win.”
