The Eastern Michigan University Eagles won against the Bowling Green State University Falcons at the Convocation Center. The final score was 55-50. With this win the Eagles are now 10-11 and are now at the top of the MAC west with a conference record of 5-2.

The Eagles shot .364 percent from the field on 20-55 shooting. The Falcons shot .348 percent on 16-48 shooting. Despite getting out-rebounded 37 to 28, the Eagles found a way to win the game.

Across the board, the leading scorer was Eastern Michigan’s senior guard Darrell Lampley. Lampley finished with 20 points on 7-13 shooting. Lampley also finished with four assists. The second and third scorers for the fame were A’uston Calhoun and Dee Brown of Bowling Green. Calhoun had 12 points while Brown had ten. Calhoun also had nine rebounds. The second leading scorer for the Eagles was Anthony Strickland who had eight points. Junior center Matt Balkema led the Eagles in rebounds with seven.

The Eagles, now the top team in the MAC west, will now look to carry this momentum into their next game against Miami (Ohio) (5-13, 1-5 MAC East) on Thursday Feb. 1 in Oxford, Ohio.
