On Wednesday, the Detroit Lions announced the signing of former Eagle defensive tackle Jason Jones. In four seasons as an Eagle, he registered 175 total tackles, 13 sacks and one forced fumble. Jones began the 2004 season as a tight end before making the switch to the defensive line.

Jones was drafted in the second round (54th overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans. Jones spent four seasons with Tennessee before signing with the Seattle Seahawks last year.

He has currently played in 61 career NFL games and has 92 total tackles, 18.5 sacks, seven forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
