EMU men's basketball falls to Akron Zips 77-47

The Eastern Michigan University Eagles lost against the University of Akron Zips in a 30 point rout. The final score was 77-47. Eastern Michigan never took the lead nor tied the game up. Eastern Michigan had a four minute drought of continuous missed shots.

Eagles atop MAC west after 55-50 win

The Eastern Michigan University Eagles won against the Bowling Green State University Falcons at the Convocation Center. The final score was 55-50. With this win the Eagles are now 10-11 and are now at the top of the MAC west with a conference record of 5-2.

Eagles defeat Chippewas to clinch MAC West

Quick baskets launched a major lead at the start of the game as the Eastern Michigan University women’s basketball team defeated the Central Michigan University Chippewas, 73-60, on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2012 at the Convocation Center.

Jock Jamz 2012 to be held Feb. 2

Every year the Eastern Michigan University Athletics Department and the Student Athletic Advisory Council hosts Jock Jamz. This year’s Jock Jamz will be held at 6:30 p..m. on February 2 inside the Convocation Center.

Eagles defeat Chippewas on Senior Night

In its last home match of the season and on Senior Night the Eastern Michigan University volleyball team was host to instate conference rival Central Michigan University. The Eagles defeated the Chippewas and soared to a 3-0 (25-13, 25-22, 23-25, 25-20) victory to win another Mid-American Conference match. The Eagles improve to 20-8 overall and 8-5 in conference play.

Eagles win seventh straight

Eight games into its 2011 season, the Eastern Michigan University Volleyball team garnered its seventh consecutive win as it defeated Youngstown State 3-1 (25-20, 25-16, 18-25, 25-20). This marks the Eagles’ longest win streak since opening the 2010 season with a perfect 8-0 record.

Football season opener postponed

The Eastern Michigan University football team was scheduled to kickoff its 2011 campaign against Howard University at 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 3. The players showed up, the coaches were there, the fans were filling up but as of right now, we still don’t have score. The only person you can thank is Mother Nature.

Four-star UCLA recruit looks to lend Eastern a helping hand

There have been plenty of new faces added to Eastern Michigan University’s football roster, especially on the defensive side. However, one of those names sticks out. Sophomore corner, Marlon Pollard, rated a four-star recruit by Rivals and Scout chose to leave the University of California Los Angeles to join the Eagles.
