I haven’t been given the exact numbers, but earlier today at the ribbon cutting for DPS’s new headquarters it was announced that enrollment at EMU is up around 4 percent. EMU’s vice president of communications, Walter Kraft, said it could be the biggest increase in the state.
EMU also released crime statistics: Breaking and enterings are down 61 percent. O’Dell said the university saw a decline or no change in 12 of the 13 crime categories — robberies increased from one in 2007 to four in 2008.
