An Eastern Michigan University student was assaulted this morning according to an informational release from the EMU police department.
The student was walking in the area of Ballard St. and Emmet St. around 2:45 a.m. when he was assaulted by two women and four men he did not know.
The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries and the incident is being described as “unprovoked.”
The suspects left the area in an older-model of a white Ford Aerostar van.
