Two suspects were arrested earlier today and are being held at the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department following the armed robbery of two EMU students at an off-campus house.

The students were sitting on a porch at their residence in the 400 block of N. Hamilton Street, when three males approached at about 12:45 a.m., according to a release from the EMU Police Department.

One of the suspects revealed a handgun and told the victims to turn over their belongings. The victims said another suspect had a gun as well.

The victims, one male and one female, handed over a laptop computer, a cell phone and a purse, before the suspects fled on foot, the release said.

Police are still searching for a third suspect, and the two others are being held pending warrant authorization, the release said.
