An Ypsilanti Township man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the fatal crash that occurred Tuesday afternoon on Ecorse Rd. at Harris Rd.

Bradley Wayne Howard,34, was arraigned on ten charges Thursday and is being held without bond at the Washtenaw County Jail.

Howard was charged with operating while intoxicated causing death, operating while intoxicated causing serious injury, driving with a suspended license causing death, driving with a suspended license causing serious injury, operating while intoxicated, operating with a suspended license, failure to stop at an accident causing death, failure to stop at an accident causing serious injury and having an open intoxicant in a motor vehicle.

A preliminary exam has been scheduled for 1 p.m. Nov. 10.

Stephanie Joyce Stone, 32, of Canton Township was killed in the accident. The front-seat passenger, her 13-year-old son, was seriously injured. Her 11-year-old daughter suffered minor injuries as well after Howard’s 1995 Ford Mustang 1995 ran a red light and crashed into Stone’s 2002 Ford Taurus.
