A robber held several employees at gunpoint and stole an undetermined amount of money at 9:15 Monday night at the Domino’s Pizza located at 953 Washtenaw Ave.

No one was injured.

Domino’s assistant manager, Howie Pelton, said he was not yet sure how much money had been stolen, but estimated it was approximately $250.

Sarah Hillegones, a sophomore at EMU who was in the back of the store during the robbery, said the robber entered through the side door.

“He pulled out a gun, grabbed my arm and told us to, ‘get the [expletive] in the back,’” she said. “I was freaking out.”

Hillegones said the robber forced everyone to the back of the store and told them to get on the ground. He took all of the money from the safe and the register and then fled eastbound on foot.

No customers were in the lobby during the time of the crime, but one customer watched it from her car.

Pelton and Hillegones described the robber as a stocky 5-foot-8-inch African American male in his mid-20s. He had a moustache and was wearing track pants, sneakers and a red hooded sweatshirt with white writing. The robber held his sweatshirt over the lower half of his face to obscure his identity.
