Eastern Michigan’s soccer team plays Miami at 2 p.m. Friday in the semifinals of the Mid-American Conference tournament on the campus of Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant.

The winner will play either top-seeded Central Michigan or defending-champion Toledo in the title match Sunday. Miami gave EMU, which was runner-up in last season’s tournament, its only conference loss (1-0) Oct. 9.

Basketball, wrestling seasons start this weekend
The EMU men’s and women’s basketball teams play exhibitions Saturday at the Convocation Center. The women play Madonna at 2 p.m., and the men play Concorida at 4:30 p.m. They the start the regular season the following weekend.

The wrestling team plays host to the EMU Open at 9 a.m. Saturday at Bowen Field House to open its season. Wrestlers from Divisions 1-3 will be in the unattached competition.
