Police searching for suspect in credit union robbery
Police are still searching for the suspect in a robbery that occurred at about 1:40 p.m. June 9 at the EMU Credit Union.
An EMU Police Department information release described the suspect as an African American male between 5’4” and 5’6”, wearing a white Detroit Tigers baseball cap and a hooded sweatshirt.

The suspect reportedly implied he had a weapon, though no witnesses saw one at the scene. He took an undisclosed amount of cash from the credit union and appeared to flee the location on foot.
No one at the EMU Credit Union, located on the corner of Jeness Street and St. Johns Street in the City of Ypsilanti, was reported injured.
