Football: Northern Illinois extends Eastern Michigan's losing streak to 9

Northern Illinois defeated Eastern Michigan 50-6 tonight in DeKalb, Ill.

With the win, NIU (6-3, 4-1 Mid-American Conference) is bowl eligible. It had 418 yards rushing against the worst rush defense in the nation.

EMU (0-9, 0-5) trailed from the opening kickoff, as Tommy Davis took it 86 yards for a touchdown. Joe Carithers made two field goals (21, 20 yards) for EMU.
