Going 16-42 at EMU is like winning the national championship at CMU. In almost every game that Genyk coached the eagles were competitive. Also, given how difficult it is to recruit quality players there, the offense was very good. The facilities are horrible, the fan base is a joke, and you are in the shadow of one of the strongest college football teams in the nation. Why do you think Brian Kelly and Ron Vanderlende turned the job down? The right thing to do would have been to learn from NIU and Joe Novak, and extend Genyk’s contract. The really joke is that you take pride in the fact that there were 2 teams that didn’t win a game instead of one. Sorry. Has it really gotten so bad that, instead of being angry at the school, athletic dept, and coaching staff for running our football team into the ground, that you would actually feel like I in some way am out of line for questioning a change that was obviously for the worst? I’m not loathing anything. It’s just that our football team was really close to being good, actually competitive in every game, and now it is the worst in the country.
