News and nonsense spiced with nerve

EMU men's basketball player suspended indefinitely

Quintin Dailey, a guard on the Eastern Michigan University men’s basketball team, has been suspended indefinitely for violating team rules EMU coach Charles Ramsey announced Monday.

Dailey had been averaging 3.9 points and 2.0 rebounds this season, his first with the team after transferring from Sheridan, Wyo. Community College.

Ramsey said he had hoped the guard would become a more integral part of the team after Eastern’s 70-61 win over Ohio on Saturday.

“Our big three are doing it now we need 4, 5, 6 to step up,” coach Charles Ramsey said. “We would be really good if we could get (Quintin) Dailey, (Jay) Higgins, and (Antonio) Green to jump on board.”

The 6-foot-3 guard will not be traveling with the team when the Eagles head to Buffalo, N.Y., to play the University of Buffalo Wednesday at 7 p.m.
