The Eastern Michigan University men’s basketball team came up short Tuesday night at the Convocation Center, losing to MAC opponent Northern Illinois, 71-69. Sophomore guard Derek Thompson (30) scored a career-high 31 points for the Eagles, 24 of which came from the 3-point line.
