Organization facilitates student community service

Depot Town Strawberry Showcase
Strawberries could easily be the official snack of summer. 'March for Autism' coming to EMU
Autism is a developmental disability that occurs in children as young as three years old. Autism affects children in three crucial areas: social interaction, behavior, and language. This commonly results in children being withdrawn, lacking social skills or having behavioral problems.
Gotye, Kimbra worth all the hype after EMU performance
After months of buzz and anticipation, the long awaited Eastern Michigan University debut of Belgian/Australian indie rock artist Gotye finally landed at Pease Auditorium on March 29. The sold out show, which featured the buzz-worthy up-and-coming pop artist Kimbra, did not disappoint.
Sad Tire Theater to hold auditions
From noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, student run Sad Tire Theatre is holding auditions. They will be held in room 320 of the Student Center, which is located at 900 Oakwood St. in Ypsilanti.
Singer Whitney Houston dead at 48
At approximately 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, the Associated Press reported the world-famous pop singer Whitney Houston had died. This was confirmed by Houston’s publicist in a statement to the Associated Press.
Ypsilanti Symphony Orchestra live at WCC
The Ypsilanti Symphony Orchestra will be performing live at Washtenaw Community College. The performance will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19 in WCC’s Towsley Auditorium.
Red Cross blood drives coming to EMU
According to a press release by Geoff Larcom, Executive Director of Media Relations for Eastern Michigan Universtiy, there are going to be several blood drives across campus throughout the month of Feb.
'Guys and Dolls' auditions being held at Alexander today and tomorrow
Auditions for the Musical Guys and Dolls will take place on Tuesday the 24th from 3-6pm and Wednesday the 25th from 6-9pm in the Alexander Recital Hall.
