Review: ‘Mr. Malcolm’s List’ is a charming historical film
If you enjoy historical romance films, you’ll like "Mr. Malcolm’s List." It’s not as thrilling as other romance films set in this time period, but it is still enjoyable.

Over the years, the Minions and Despicable Me franchise has been known to contain surprising hit songs thanks to a soundtrack composed by Pharrell Williams and Heitor Pereira.
"Elvis" gives you a retro feeling but feels like it goes on forever. If you are a fan of Elvis and want to see an interesting take on his life, I suggest this film. If not, it becomes almost a chore to watch by the end.
If you're a fan of the Jurassic franchise, then you’ll want to see the newest of the crew, “Jurassic World: Dominion.”
Minimalism is about getting rid of the things that don’t add value to your life: things that get in the way of your space, cause you depression or discontent, remind you of difficult memories or that you just don’t care about anymore.
"100 Days with Tata" is a documentary-style film recounting 100 days spent during the pandemic between actor Miguel Ángel Muñoz and his great-grandmother’s sister Luisa Cantero.
If you like drama, comedy and confusion, "Everything Everywhere All at Once" is the film for you. This movie makes you question everything more than once and then cry when you think the questions are solved.
If you like thriller-esce horror with a heavy thinking forward story, then this film is for you. “Men" surprised me with how suspenseful it was, rather than a completely scary horror movie.
Imagine having to explain how Instagram works to someone straight out of 2002– it's hard enough explaining it to our grandparents who have lived through it all.
Would I be too far off if I said that everyone’s current mission is to find their next show to binge? We go to work, school, and walk the dog, but really, these mundane tasks are merely to keep us occupied as we search for the next binge-worthy show.
The latest Marvel movie tried to give an introduction to a new antihero, but sadly, “Morbius" fell flat on its face. For a movie that has been delayed 6 times over the past two years, I was hoping for something great, but ended up getting something lackluster.
The new movie, “The Lost City”, may be one of the funniest films I have seen in a long time. Sandra Bullock's comedic energy comes into full force in this film and makes it hilarious to watch. This movie feels like an early 2000s romantic bad comedy that you just love to watch over and over (even though it's bad).
The Southeast Michigan Criminal Justice Policy Research Project (SMART), is hosting a virtual watch-along of the film “Drawing the Line” on Feb. 24 via zoom and a follow-up question and answer discussion. The film was released in August of 2021 and directed by Eugene Kurtz.
Being a big fan of adventure and action movies like “National Treasure" and "Indiana Jones,“ I thought “Uncharted" would be right up my alley. The movie is based on a video game, so I was interested to see how that would play on screen. Shockingly, I was pleasantly surprised with the results.
I’ve always been a fan of murder mysteries, an example being one of my favorite shows as a kid, Matlock. Along with being a fan of Agatha Christie novels (which most murder mysteries are based on these days), including this one. So this movie definitely piqued my interest. Now I’m a fan of some book-to-screen adaptations, but not many, so I’m a harsh critique on these types of movies. With that said, as with all my reviews there will be major plot points discussed so reader beware. Buckle up and get ready to examine Death on the Nile.
After a dry spell in theaters, the next blockbuster movie emerges from the shadows and makes for a interesting film for audience viewers. A high-action sci-fi film is something I usually watch after it's out of the theatre, but I was impatiently waiting to get back to the movie theatre atmosphere. This new film titled “Moonfall,“ was off to a great start, but began to disappoint me in the second half.
Recently I watched the movie “Being the Ricardo’s." I do not want to give any spoilers away, but I will say that throughout the course of the movie the characters endured a lot of hardship, but a lot of memorable moments nonetheless.
Let me begin this review by saying how much of a fan of the "Scream" franchise I am. I’ve seen all the movies upwards of 10 times and truly love the films. So when I saw they were adding another to the series I was excited, but scared they'd mess it up. When the trailers showed the movie was bringing back some of the original characters, I just knew It had to be good (and I wasn't wrong). As with all my reviews, there will be major plot points discussed, so reader beware. Buckle up and get ready to examine "Scream" (2022).
Let me begin this review by saying I'm not a fan of remakes, but I am of huge fan of West Side Story, so I knew I had to watch this movie. With the pandemic pushing back the release date of this movie, it was highly anticipated by all and had a ton of time to generate interest. As with all my reviews, there will be major plot points discussed, so reader beware. Buckle up and get ready to examine Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story.
A few weeks ago I was scrolling through Netflix’s coming soon tab and I came across “Elves". I'm not the biggest fan of Christmas movies but I do love horror movies, so when I saw a Christmas horror series I knew I had to watch it. The plot seemed very intriguing so I thought I would give it a shot. As with all my reviews, there will be some major plot points discussed and some spoilers, so reader beware. Buckle up and get ready to examine "Elves”.
