Being a big fan of adventure and action movies like “National Treasure" and "Indiana Jones,“ I thought “Uncharted" would be right up my alley. The movie is based on a video game, so I was interested to see how that would play on screen. Shockingly, I was pleasantly surprised with the results.

Shrimp Flavours, an Indian restaurant that serves authentic curries, biryanis, and tandoori items, recently opened in Ypsilanti at 529 W Cross St. I bought my first bowl of curry from Shrimp Flavours on a lab day this winter. When I tasted the first spoon from their chicken Tikka Masala, its authentic spices and savory texture really warmed me up. All of their curry meals come with a bowl of basmati rice cooked with cinnamon sticks, cumin, and other herbs. I really recommend adding two pieces of garlic naan to enjoy both the “mix and dip” experience with their curries.

Being extremely stressed is unfortunately a normal part of being a college student. Not getting enough sleep and not having a lot of free time is enough to make a student depressed. However, there are many ways that can help get you through that. Personally, I begin by focusing on time management and understanding where exactly my stress is coming from, which is a pivotal step.

Celebrity Kanye West has recently been in the spotlight for what is assumed to be a manic episode after his recently separated wife, Kim Kardashian West, entered a new public relationship with comedian Pete Davidson. Though many find his online behavior to be humorous, Kanye’s behavior is extremely harmful to both his family and the bipolar community.

Nowadays, many universities aren’t going to let you in solely based on your GPA. They’re looking for extra curricular activities—clubs, programs, volunteer work. It’s become such a prevalent expectation for some universities that it is basically an unspoken requirement to even be considered for acceptance.

Personally, I have a hard time doing homework in my room or at the kitchen table, as my most productive self comes to light with a change of scenery. While there are many areas on campus that can be considered great study spots such as the Student Center or the Commons, there are also a ton of great places off campus as well that are great for studying. If you also work better outside of your own living space, check out my favorite places to study that are close to EMU.

Her first debut song was “Wish You The Worst," but most of the world was introduced to her through single “Gonna Bleach My Eyebrows." Many companies love to appeal to consumers through performative activism, which is defined as “Activism done to increase one’s social capital rather than because of one’s devotion to a cause” (Moore).

I’ve always been a fan of murder mysteries, an example being one of my favorite shows as a kid, Matlock. Along with being a fan of Agatha Christie novels (which most murder mysteries are based on these days), including this one. So this movie definitely piqued my interest. Now I’m a fan of some book-to-screen adaptations, but not many, so I’m a harsh critique on these types of movies. With that said, as with all my reviews there will be major plot points discussed so reader beware. Buckle up and get ready to examine Death on the Nile.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit, some students started wondering if the expense of meal plans was worth what they were getting. This topic was something I thought about a lot when I came to EMU. I did some research and math that helped me and might help you as well.

Why does Star Wars continue to bully Boba Fett? Is it because he’s too cool? Is it because he deserves it? Probably, but the amount of abuse this man goes through in a few minutes of screen time is impressive.

After a dry spell in theaters, the next blockbuster movie emerges from the shadows and makes for a interesting film for audience viewers. A high-action sci-fi film is something I usually watch after it's out of the theatre, but I was impatiently waiting to get back to the movie theatre atmosphere. This new film titled “Moonfall,“ was off to a great start, but began to disappoint me in the second half.
