EMU volleyball’s Callie Minshew secures All-MAC Second Team honors
The Eastern Michigan University swimming and diving program hosted its 2023 Senior Day Extravaganza on Saturday, Feb. 4, at Ann Arbor Skyline High School.
Swimming can be enormously life-changing, especially if you do it continuously throughout the week. However, being college students, we know that a perfect schedule does not exist, but a good one can require having long breaks. Some students like to spend that time watching their shows or just taking a nap, but what if you use that time productively?
After defeating the Ball State Cardinals, 167-133 on Jan. 22, Eastern Michigan University’s swim and dive team traveled to Oxford, Ohio on Jan. 28 to compete against Miami University, inside of the Corwin X. Nixon Aquatic Center. Despite a strong showing, the Eagles ultimately lost 137-161. Six EMU team members triumphed, coming in first place in their events.
The Eastern Michigan Eagles (4-1, 3-1) swimming and diving team defeated the Bowling Green Falcons (3-2, 1-2), 206.5-93.5, on Friday, Jan. 24 at Jones Natatorium in Ypsilanti. The Eagles are now 2-0 at home and have bounced back from their lone loss versus Akron last weekend.

Peter Linn will be leaving his coaching duties at Eastern Michigan University, effective August 16. Linn had the third-longest career of any athletics coach in school history, behind Bob Parks and Steve Wilce. EMU athletics announced that there will be a national search for the next, and ninth head coach of the women's swimming program.

Women's swim and dive completes undefeated dual season
Eastern Michigan men's swim and dive team sophomore, Jake Tyson, has been named the Mid-American Conference's Swimmer of the Week. This marks the first time Jake Tyson has received the honor during his swim career at EMU.
