02414 -- Scott Stephenson Eastern Echo Scholarship:  This expendable scholarship is for the benefit of student(s) in the School of Communication, Media & Theater Arts in the College of Arts & Sciences.  It will be awarded to a full or part-time junior or senior EMU student majoring in journalism and working for the Eastern Echo.  The student should be working to self-finance their education and not be eligible for need-based grants.

00825 -- Student Media Development:  Provides support for the Student Media program.

Underwhelming season comes to an end in loss to Akron

Back in October, the Eastern Michigan basketball team was predicted to win the Mid-American Conference West Division, but the team's season came to an end on Thursday in Cleveland when they fell to Akron, 79-62. The team has now listed as the fourth ranked team in the west division.

EMU women's swim and dive falls second to Akron in MAC

Seven members of the Eastern Michigan University women's swimming and diving team qualified in the prelims session of the MAC Championships Saturday, Feb. 25, in Oxford, Ohio. The championship then ended with Akron in the lead, while EMU fell second with a total of 600 points.

The Eastern Michigan University women's swim and dive team had a strong performance in the MAC championships in the preliminary session on Thursday, Feb. 24 in Oxford, Ohio. The women ended with 12 members being qualified to the championship heats.

Gymnastics comes back to defeat Kent State, 195.750- 195.550

The gymnastics team went into the their final event trailing the Kent State Golden Flashes, but a floor score of 48.975 helped the Eagles win in a home meet on Friday, Feb. 10.

The Eastern Michigan women’s track and field team placed first at the GVSU Open in Allendale on Friday, Jan. 21. Out of 11 teams, the Eagles finished in first place with 138.5 points.
