As the academic year comes to a close, Eastern Michigan University is taking steps to reduce waste and support the local community. Swoop's Food Pantry, a student-led food pantry at EMU located at 104 Pierce Hall, is spearheading a new Appliance Pick Up program that helps students offload unwanted appliances before they move out of their dorms or apartments. This initiative not only minimizes waste but also provides much-needed resources to students in need.

The Women’s Resource Center, Title IX and Sexual Assault and Rape Awareness (SARA) are painting the walls between Pray-Harrold and the REC/IM to bring awareness to sexual assault on Eastern Michigan University’s campus. The event takes place April 17 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. with paint and supplies being provided. All students are welcome to attend.
