02414 -- Scott Stephenson Eastern Echo Scholarship:  This expendable scholarship is for the benefit of student(s) in the School of Communication, Media & Theater Arts in the College of Arts & Sciences.  It will be awarded to a full or part-time junior or senior EMU student majoring in journalism and working for the Eastern Echo.  The student should be working to self-finance their education and not be eligible for need-based grants.

00825 -- Student Media Development:  Provides support for the Student Media program.

Winter 2019 Graduates Celebrate Commencement

Pantry provides: Swoop’s has safety for some with food insecurity

Swoop’s Pantry is a “word of mouth” type of place. Nestled in the bottom floor of Pierce Hall is the non-profit food pantry. A few EMU students could be around but it is limited to just that. Swoop’s is not as busy as an Eagle Café like those at Pray-Harrold and the College of Business. This location on campus is quiet but has shelves full of valuables at no cost to you.

Student Affairs Committee Brings Grad School Application Suggestions, DRC Concerns to Board

During the last student affairs committee meeting of the 2018-2019 academic year, regents received presentations and concerns from Student Government, Housing and Residence Life and EMU's Children Institute, as well as campus leader Aaron Kempa. The presentations took place Tuesday, April 23, in Welch Hall with an audience of 40 to 50 people listening to the updates.

Created Equal Teams Up with Protect Life at EMU for Biannual Anti-Abortion Display

Controversial Phrase Written on Free Speech Walls

EASTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY - A controversial phrase was discovered on the free speech walls outside of Pray Harold on Thursday. The phrase, “It’s okay to be white,” was written on both sides of each wall. The message was painted over a Nipsey Hussle tribute.
