EMU’S swim & dive defeats Denison

Both the men and women swimming and diving teams for Eastern Michigan picked up wins at home against Denison University on Saturday, Oct. 22.EMU’s men’s swimming and diving teams’ season commenced a week earlier than the omen’s season as the mens team lost to Northwestern University, 167-128, on Friday, Oct. 14. But the Women’s swim and dive team kicked their season off with a win of 196-99 against Denison. The men followed up with a win against Denison University, topping them at 191-104.


EMU women swimming and diving picks up its second win

The Eastern Michigan University women's swimming and diving team traveled to Athens, Ohio Oct. 29, to Ohio University where itposted their seventh consecutive Mid-American Conference dual win with a strong performance leaving the score 178-122.Senior Alexis Mitcheltree and sophomores Delaney Duncan Dora Vrcic, and Stephanie Johnston claimed the top spot in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:42.09.










Two Eagles qualified for NCAA Championships

After a successful second place finish in the MAC Championships, senior Alexis Mitcheltree and sophomore Delaney Duncan were named NCAA qualifiers on March 1. The NCAA's announced that Duncan will compete in the national meet for the second time, while Mitcheltree qualifies for the first time in her career. This news marks the first time EMU has had multiple swimmers earn trips to the NCAA Championships in program history.Duncan qualified in the 100 Breaststroke.


EMU men's swim wins MAC Championship number 34

After The Eastern Michigan University men's swimming and diving team turned in a dominant preliminary performance at the 2017 Mid-American Conference Championships, Saturday, March 4, 13 members qualified for the championship heats. The qualified members were Freshman Matan Segal who posted the top time in prelims, senior Cole Bateman, sophomore Tosh Kawaguchi, Sophomore Ricky Perez also made the cut for the championship heat, turning in the seventh-ranked prelims time.In addition, sophomore Jake Tyson touched in with one of the top prelim times to earn a lane in the championship heat of the 100 Freestyle.



EMU women's swim and dive finish championships and seasons undefeated

The Eastern Michigan women's swimming and diving team completed two days of competition at the NCAA Championships Friday until Saturday, March 17-18 in Indianapolis.On the first day, Sophomore Delaney Duncan placed 29 with a time of 1:00.58 in the 100 Breaststroke, while senior Alexis Mitcheltree placed 38 in the 100 Backstroke.
