Review: Netflix's ‘Elves’ is an eerie Christmas series to check out

(12/10/21 1:59pm)

A few weeks ago I was scrolling through Netflix’s coming soon tab and I came across “Elves". I'm not the biggest fan of Christmas movies but I do love horror movies, so when I saw a Christmas horror series I knew I had to watch it. The plot seemed very intriguing so I thought I would give it a shot. As with all my reviews, there will be some major plot points discussed and some spoilers, so reader beware. Buckle up and get ready to examine "Elves”.

Review: 'Ghostbusters: Afterlife' continues the 'Ghostbusters' legacy

(11/25/21 9:47pm)

"Ghostbusters” is one of those iconic movies that everyone knows. As a kid I watched it well over 50 times and every time it came on T.V. the family had to watch it. When I saw they were making a new “Ghostbusters" set in the present-day, I was so excited. I was hoping for an amazing new generation “Ghostbuster" movie and I’m still not sure what I got. There will be some spoilers and major plot points discussed in my review so reader beware. Buckle up and get ready to examine "Ghostbusters: Afterlife".

Review: Netflix’s 'Red Notice' is a humorous adventure film

(11/18/21 12:00pm)

Netflix is known for their either hit or miss originals, and Red Notice is a movie that falls just in between those categories. Anything with Ryan Reynolds in it is bound to give a few laughs, and paired with The Rock and Gal Gadot, Red Notice definitely piqued my interest.

Review: Eternals from the point of view of two college students

(11/10/21 1:53pm)

For a film this big, it was only fitting that two reviewers came together. The Eternals is such a large film for the Marvel Cinematic Universe that two Echo writers have come together to share our thoughts and take on this film. I, Cameron Santangelo, your trusted Eastern Echo movie reviewer, have teamed up with our other trusted reviewer Marie White to discuss this film, hopefully, this is the first of many! With that being said, let's dive into this massive MCU project!

Review: You Season 3 gave me mixed feelings

(10/28/21 12:43pm)

After about a year and a half, You has finally returned to Netflix on Oct.15 for the third season. When I first saw that it came back, I was excited, but skeptical. After the trailers, as well as how the last season ended, I was curious to see how the new season would play out.
