With the holidays coming up, many of us are stressing about being around our families and the upcoming questions and judgment. However, you can survive family events this holiday season with these five tips: First, don’t sweat the small stuff. It is okay if everything does not go perfectly. Forgot the six types of cheese everyone likes? Don’t sweat it. You’ll find the holidays much more relaxing when you don’t worry about pleasing everyone. If you find yourself worrying about every little thing, take the time to relax and breathe. Not everything has to be done the same way your parents or your grandparents did it. Everyone burns a pie now and then, and your house does not need to be perfectly decorated for everything to be okay. No matter whether everything is perfect, it will be okay.

In 1989, Disney introduced the world to Princess Ariel- a beautiful, young mermaid who longed to be part of the human world. 30 years later for it’s anniversary, Disney released the movie once again, this time combining it with live-action television special, The Little Mermaid Live!

The Ann Arbor Library was once again filled with the magic of rock as Harry and the Potters rocked out on Wednesday, June 26. With fun, uplifting songs based on the Harry Potter series, both longtime fans and those new to the series will enjoy the band.

On Tuesday April 3, Eastern Michigan University students sought to learn more about the sixth planet in our solar system, Saturn, in EMU’S planetarium located in the Science Complex. Lead by associate professor Thomas Kasper, participants sat back under the dome of the planetarium and took a journey to Saturn, its rings and its many moons.

With coloring and hot cocoa, Eastern Michigan University's LBGTQ+ community gathered in the Student Center on Wednesday Jan. 10, for the LBGT Resource Center Winter Mixer. The Mixer was provided for members of the community to meet the staff of the Resource center and to hang out with friends.

On December 16, over 1,700 Eastern Students celebrated the culmination of years of hard work with their friends, family and EMU faculty at the Convocation Center. In President Smith’s speech and letter in the Commencement program he commented “that no one reaches this milestone [graduation] alone,” and offered thanks to those who helped the graduates get to Commencement.
