EMU is hosting a community conversation Tuesday, Feb. 7 in an effort to combat the negative stigma towards the LGBTQ+ community that Chick-Fil-A has been associated with. Concerns have been raised by students because a Chick-Fil-A will be opening in McKenny Union this semester. The conversation is from 3 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus Live! Is an off broadway show inspired by 1992 novel by John Gray, “Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus.” It is a one man show that combines theatre and stand up comedy. The show will be appearing at Detroit, City Theatre, starring Ryan Drumshow mond, an EMU alumni.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Washtenaw County hosted a fundraiser breakfast, Rise and Shine for Kids’ Sake, an event geared towards bringing potential donors together to inform and raise money for the organization, on Nov. 3. Among the donors in attendance were former Eastern Michigan University President Donald Loppnow, Governor Rick Snyder and Michigan’s First Lady Sue Snyder.
