Two former EMU track & field standouts compete in World Athletics Championships

Former EMU track and field athletes  Donald Scott and Lahsene Bouchikhi are set to compete in the 2022 World Athletics Championship. Scott is a 2015 EMU graduate and former eight-time Mid-American Conference Champion. Bouchikhi earned First Team All-MAC honors his junior year and placed fifth in the Spartan Invitational with a time of 25:11.2 in the 8,000 meter race.

EMU’s men and women's cross country teams win MAC title

Eastern Michigan’s men’s and women’s cross country teams finished in first place in the MAC championships on Saturday, Nov. 2 in DeKalb, Ill. The Eagles women’s team has won five straight conference championships, which is the longest streak in MAC history. The men’s title represents the 23rd conference championship in school history.

Men's cross-country announces schedule

The Eastern Michigan men's cross-country team will be competing for their 23rd conference championship in 2019. The team won the MAC in 2017. It will also be competing for a late season push into the NCAA championships, where a trip there would be the first since 2005.

Scott Wetherbee Discusses State of EMU Athletics

The Eastern Michigan athletics program has seen some ups and downs in the last year, which includes a MAC Tournament title by the women’s volleyball team, an appearance in the Camellia Bowl for the football team, and a court ruling that forced EMU to reinstate the softball and women’s tennis teams.

EMU Men’s XC takes Third at Regionals

The Eastern Michigan University men’s team took third at the NCAA Great Lakes Regionals Friday November 13, 2015. This performance is the best the team has done since 2002 when they took second place and eventuallytook third and the NCAA Championships. The team scored 102 points while adjusting to the climate of the race.

Women’s XC finishes sixth at NCAA Regional

The Eastern Michigan University women’s cross country team competed at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Friday November 13, 2015 in Madison Wis. The Eagles finished in sixth place with a total of 216 points. This finish is the best the team has done since 1996 when the team took second.

Women’s XC places sixth in Virginia Invitational

The EMU Women’s cross country by placed sixth in the Virginia Invitational this past Saturday. The Eagles had seven runners crossing the line before the 20 minute mark, including four runners in the top 50. They finished sixth among 15 teams, finishing with 184 points
