Opinion: Straight pride is not happening

Heterosexual and cis-gendered people seem to be missing the point of pride month and instead insisting on a celebration of their own. In instances such as raising awareness of the struggles within a community, there are cases of being too inclusive.

Opinion: Michigan auto insurance reform a great first step

The changes to Michigan’s auto insurance should bring about tangible benefits to Michiganders. While there are some shortcomings of the law, it’s a good result considering the deadlock the legislature has faced for years while trying to pass reforms.

Experience with a somewhat toxic, now defunct student organization pushes a former campus leader to reconsider how campus organizations, especially of a political nature, ought to be structured. Placing emphasis on a marketplace of ideas and stressing intellectual and ideological diversity may be valuable changes to improve the atmosphere of campus organizations.
