Book Drive

America Reads and Eastern Michigan University’s VISION Volunteer Center is promoting a Children’s Book Drive until Monday, March 31. Drop-off boxes are located in Halle Library, the VISION Volunteer Center and Porter Hall.

The books will be donated to the nonprofit organization 826Michigan.

Graduation Fair

The Eastern Michigan University campus bookstore in the Student Center is presenting a Grad Fair on Monday, April 7 and Tuesday, April 8 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

During this time, students can buy the cap and gown, class rings, diploma frames and other items of interest.

Pioneer Nursing

The Eastern Michigan University Women’s and Gender Studies Department will host a presentation titled “Clara Barton and Susie King Taylor: Pioneer Nursing on the Civil War Battlefield.”

The event will be held on Monday, March 24 from 4-5:30 p.m. in room 219 of Pray-Harrold.

United States Air Force Band Concert

The U.S. Air Force Band of Washington, D.C. is going to be playing a public concert at Eastern Michigan University’s Pease Auditorium. The event is on Wednesday, April 9 and starts at 7:30 p.m.
