In a fierce battle between Eastern Michigan University and Central Michigan University, EMU’s Paige Redditt made a layup to defeat CMU by a score of 72-71 on March, 10 in Cleveland, Ohio.

The Eagles shot 49.1 percent from field goal range and 76 percent from the free throw line. The team was only able to make 10 percent of its shots form beyond the arc. The Eagles grabbed 31 rebounds and 11 steals.

Natachia Watkins led the Eagles in scoring with 25 points and also grabbed a total of seven rebounds. Tavelyn James scored 23 points while Paige Redditt scored 18 points and hauled down six rebounds.

CMU was able to shoot 59.1 percent from the field goal range, 36.4 percent from beyond the arc and 71.4 percent from the free throw line. The team recorded 29 rebounds and eight steals.

Taylor Johnson was CMU’s leading scorer with 20 points. Crystal Bradford scored 16 points and pulled down eight rebounds. Jessica Green was able to finish the game with 12 points.
