Pride Prom brings Wonderland to Student Center

The “Alice in Wonderland” themed prom, which took over the Student Center Ballroom for the night, was a huge success. Students walked down a red carpet with life-sized playing cards and danced the night away with “Alice in Wonderland” playing in the background.

Eastern Michigan University graduates are going green in more ways than one. This December, more than 2,000 graduates will be walking across the stage in the traditional gowns made with a twist: Each gown is made from recycled bottles — 23 to be exact.


Prop 4 would create registry to link seniors, disabled with home healthcare workers

Eastern Michigan University students had the opportunity Oct. 10 to hear people speak on Proposal 4. The purpose of the proposal is to create a registry that will link seniors and people with disabilities with pre-screened, certified and trained home healthcare workers, as well as provide financial services to patients to manage the cost of in-home care.
