Two jerks set up shop in Depot Town

Depot Town has a new business that is sure to raise eyebrows off of the name, Two Jerks Music. The owners are two brothers, Mark and Ryan Teachout, who are originally from Flint, but have fallen in love with the Ypsilanti community. Depot Town’s isn’t known for its booming businesses, but its beautiful infrastructure.


Sisterhood Alliance presents Soul Speak

Every Thursday, the Sisterhood Alliance presents Soul Speak in the Student Center from 2 to 3:30 pm in the Kiva Room. Soul Speak is a place for women in minorities to have a safe place to speak on day-to-day issues or have that necessary girl chat to ease their mind. This group is open to the public and completely free.


Hillel to host 'Who Is Big In Your Community?' event

On November 14th, Hillel  will be hosting an event called Who is Big in Your Community?. Hillel is an organization on campus that teaches student on campus about Judaism through fun activities such as their shabbat dinners, holiday celebrations, brunches and more. This event event was inspired by Ask Big Questions which is an internship that brings students from different cultures together and allows them to have a platform to learn about other cultures as well teach others about their own culture. To bring Eastern Michigan students together on campus Hillel has been preparing for their event for weeks.


Amp! to host Java Jam event

On November 12th Amp! and organization on campus will producing an event called Java Jam that will be hosted in King Hall's lounge. Amp!


RHA Presents Octower Fest

The fall season brings on sweet nostalgia with warm apple cider from your favorite mill, doughnuts sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon, and pumpkins bigger than Cinderella could’ve ever imagined.The Residence Housing Association wants to bring back those sweet memories with sweet treats, games, and special guests.On Thursday, Oct. 30 RHA presents their very own Octower Fest.


Ice cream social brings students together

On Thursday an ice cream social was sponsored by the Homecoming committee at Eastern Michigan University to give students an opportunity to step outside of their comfort zones and meet other people.
