02414 -- Scott Stephenson Eastern Echo Scholarship:  This expendable scholarship is for the benefit of student(s) in the School of Communication, Media & Theater Arts in the College of Arts & Sciences.  It will be awarded to a full or part-time junior or senior EMU student majoring in journalism and working for the Eastern Echo.  The student should be working to self-finance their education and not be eligible for need-based grants.

00825 -- Student Media Development:  Provides support for the Student Media program.

Golf: Lady Eagles tie fifth place at Rio Verde Invitational

On day two of the 13th Annual Rio Verde Invitational, Eastern Michigan University women's golf team tied for fifth-place with a score of 604 (303-301) at Rio Verde Country Club’s Quail Run Course on Saturday. Thelma Beck tied for fourth in the second round with an overall two-day total of 147 (72-75). Karyn Lee Ping led overall for EMU shooting a 72 and tying for 16th at 150 (78-72), while Lois Schoof’s second round score of 73 tied for 49th at 155 (82-73). Kelsey Murphy, fourth for Eastern, tied for 64th with an overall of 157 (75-82) and Kylie Raines secured 77th with 159 (78-81). With a team total 594 (296-298), Seton Hall led day two. Erin McClure leads overall with a 144 (71-73). Two shots behind the Pirates, Toledo carries a score of 596 (301-295). The Rio Verde Invitational comes to a close on Sunday, March 15. Donald Scott wins silver medal; named First Team All-American

Donald Scott, track athlete for Eastern Michigan University, took the silver medal at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in the triple jump (16.84 meters/55 feet 3 inches) and was named a First Team All-American on Saturday.
