Sam Smith (Smith goes by pronouns they/their) is back with their latest project “Love Goes” and Smith remains the passionate singer we’ve come to expect since their debut back in 2014.
Mariah Carey has been a major superstar for almost 30 years. Her latest release, “The Rarities” is a mix of never released songs that she recorded throughout her career and some live versions of songs that we already know and love.
Aloe Blacc is back with his new album “All Love Everything” and it’s full of songs that reflect the different seasons of your life. This album might feel like the soundtrack to a movie, but it might also just be the soundtrack to what it feels like to be human and experience the full range of emotions that comes with that- our shared human condition. This album celebrates that spirit, and helps uplift it.
Carrie Underwood is bringing fans her first full-length Christmas album at a time when it’s uncertain just how people will be celebrating Christmas this year.
The 55th ACM Awards took place in three historic venues simultaneously in Nashville this year. Country stars performed to no audience in The Grand Ole Opry, The Ryman Auditorium, and The Bluebird Café. One may think that having no audience would make for a show that isn’t captivating, but this show was quite spectacular.
Country singer Mickey Guyton has been on my playlist since the beginning of her career. She is back after five years since her last EP, “Mickey Guyton,” with the EP “Bridges.” This latest project from Guyton is a much-needed EP for not only the country music genre, but for the world at large.
Every new semester brings stress, but this semester brings new meaning to the word stress. Classes have just begun, but I doubt I’m the only one feeling overwhelmed already. Uncertainty and change are anxiety’s best friends and though we may not be able to kick them to the curb totally, we may be able to find some form of relief. One such relief is laughter.
“The View” is not a show geared towards the college age audience, but it also doesn’t have the same “stay-at-home mom” feel it did when it started in 1997. My hope is that college students will watch a few episodes and form their own view of whether they should be watching it or not.
Half of the fun of watching the finales of “American Idol” and “The Voice” is that they are a spectacle full of glamour and comradery. But since our country is in quarantine, these shows are being done from home. Even though the shows did the best they could do under the circumstances, I was left longing for the finales from seasons’ past.

Carly Pearce is back with her self-titled album and she really did her thing on this one!
Unlike the Grammy Awards red carpet, the red carpet for the Oscars had many stand-out looks this year. There were countless great ensembles to choose from.
Most concert tickets these days seem to go on sale far before the actual date of the concert. It’s already time to start planning the shows you may want to see once winter is over.
The 2020 Grammy Awards were held on Jan. 26 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The red carpet was truly a sight to see. Here are my picks for Best Dressed:
Michelle Obama turned 58 on Friday, Jan. 17, 2020, which happens to be the day I’m writing this review. According to a recent 2019 Gallup poll, Obama is the “most admired woman” in the world.
Since I was in middle school, I have always loved entertainment and fashion. Currently, my favorite celebrity couple is Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra.
The holiday season may be over, but that doesn’t mean a person can’t still enjoy a classic holiday movie. My favorite movie of all-time happens to be “The Holiday.”
Idina Menzel is a gifted songstress who is well-respected in the world of theatre. This holiday season, she has brought her fans a holiday album titled “Christmas: A Season of Love.”
Kelly Clarkson is taking over all things entertainment: She has her own talk show, she’s a coach on “The Voice” and she has her own Las Vegas residency starting next year.
