Eastern Michigan’s Police Department is looking for a man who claimed to have a weapon.

It was reported the subject was seen loitering in a hallway by students and a faculty member. When approached by the staff member, it was observed that the subject’s pants and underwear were down below his knees.

EMU Police Chief Greg O’Dell said no one actually saw the man exposed.

The incident occurred Tuesday,around 9:45 a.m. in the Warner building.

O’Dell said the subject fled the scene and a student chased after him.

While running,the man claimed to have a gun ,but according to O’Dell there is no evidence that the man had a weapon.

The subject was last seen running towards a parking structure.

Witnesses of the incident described the subject as a light skinned African American male, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall,about 140 pounds, wearing a brown Carhartt style jacket, white shirt, blue jeans, wide black belt and black knit hat.
