Eastern Michigan University is allowing Dundee High to have its graduation ceremony at the Convocation Center this Thursday because of tornado damage in Monroe County.

The ceremony was set to take place last Sunday, but it was postponed because of extensive damage and a lack of electricity service in the Dundee area.

From the Detroit Free Press:

About 6,000 DTE Energy customers, mostly in the Dundee area, still were without power Monday because utility poles and the electric system there must be rebuilt, according to the utility’s spokesman, Scott Simons.

The graduation will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday.
