Campus:

Jan. 5 – A home invasion in Westview Apartments that was reported on Nov. 5 has been determined by the Department of Public Safety to have not been a random incident. Investigators indicated it was part of an ongoing dispute between the resident and another individual. meters outside Sellers Hall.

Local:

Jan. 1 – A 25-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence in Superior Township. Officers were called to the area of Dixboro Road. and Plymouth Road. at 3:30 a.m. for a vehicle that was parked in the roadway.

A home invasion occurred in the 400 block of Greenlawn Street. Entry was gained through an attached garage. A Sony TV, Microsoft Xbox and kitchen stove were reported stolen.

A home invasion occurred in the 1300 block of Congress Street. A Nintendo Wii and Sony Playstation 3 were reported stolen.

A home invasion occurred in the 1200 block of Stamford Road. Entry to the home was gained through a ground floor window. A Nintendo Game Cube and Nintendo Wii were stolen.

Jan. 2 – A 2001 green Honda Civic 4-door was stolen in the 800 block of Forest Court. The victim woke to find the vehicle missing.

Jan. 4 – Deputies from Ypsilanti Township are investigating a residential burglary. The invasion took place during the day while the residents were not home.

Jan. 6 – Deputies from Superior Township are investigating the theft of a parked car. The 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser 4-door had been parked at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital.

A 1995 black Chevy Trailblazer was reported stolen in the 8000 block of Nottingham Drive. The vehicle was stolen from the victim’s front yard.

A home invasion occurred in the 100 block of North Ford Boulevard. Several items were stolen.

Manchester Storage was vandalized. Employees reported eight padlocks had been removed from the storage units, though no property from within the units was stolen.
