EMU alumni accounts are going Gmail-only: Here's what you need to know

Eastern Michigan University recently announced that all alumni Google accounts will be transitioned to a Gmail-only model starting June 30, 2026. All files left on non-Gmail apps after the deadline will be permanently deleted.

After an open house about the University of Michigan and Los Alamos National Laboratory's proposed computing facility for Ypsilanti Township, some residents left frustrated by the structure of the event and a lack of new information.
