The Ypsilanti Police Department announced early Saturday afternoon the fourth suspect in Tuesday’s armed robbery and assault of an Eastern Michigan University student was in custody.
This comes shortly after an e-mail from EMU’s Department of Public Safety to students Saturday morning in which it was announced three of the four suspects were in custody and a fourth was identified.
According to the e-mail, none of the suspects are EMU students.
The EMU Department of Public Safety would like to remind the University Community to:
• Be aware of your surroundings and look assertive.
• Walk with friends or coworkers when possible.
• Program the number for EMU Police (734-487-1222) into your cell phone.
• Check the EMU Public Safety website for additional safety tips:
