Feb. 25 the Eastern Michigan Eagles defeated Ball State by a score of 74-43 at the Convocation Center.

The Eagles shot 41.7 percent from the field goal range and 60.9 percent from the free throw line. The team was unable to knock down any three pointers. The Eagles pulled down 49 total rebounds and grabbed 16 steals.

Tavelyn James was the lead scorer with 23 points. Olivia Fouty had 17 points and nine rebounds. Natachia Watkins scored 12 points for the team and hauled down 13 rebounds while Paige Redditt ended the game with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

From the field goal range, Ball State was able to shoot 23.2 percent and 21.7 from beyond the arc. The team also shot 63.2 percent from the free throw line. Ball State grabbed a total of 47 rebounds.

Suzanne Grossnickle was the high scorer and rebounder with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Brittany Carter scored eight points and recorded three rebounds.

The Eagles play their final MAC game away on Feb. 28 at Central Michigan University. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
