The Eastern Michigan University Eagles defeated the Kent State University Golden Eagles on Feb. 11 at the Convocation Center 83-47.

EMU shot 45 percent from the field goal range and 44 percent from beyond the arc. Its free throw percentage was 67. The team had ten steals and a total of 50 rebounds.

The high scorer for the Eagles was Tavelyn James with 40 points, almost half of the team’s total for the game. Paige Redditt was another high scorer with 15 points. Natachia Watkins cleaned up the boards by grabbing 11 rebounds while Redditt grabbed ten.

The Golden Eagles had a field goal shooting percentage of 33. They shot 32 percent from behind the three-point line and made 88 percent of their free throws. They had 26 rebounds as a team.

Itziar Llobet was the high scorer for the Golden Eagles with 13 points. Diamon Beckford and Tamzin Barroilhet both scored ten points. Beckford led the team in rebounds with five and Jaime Hutcheson pulled down four.

On Feb. 25, the Eagles travel to Kalamazoo, MI next to take on Western Michigan University. Tip-off is 7 p.m.
