Additional temporary closings of EMU parking lots

Last updated: 08/03/12 6:01pm

Eastern Michigan University’s Physical Plant Division announced they will be temporary closing several campus parking lots, for sealing and striping, every week from now until the end of August.

The Oakwood South Parking Lot will be closed the week of August 6 and should reopen by the end of that week.

However, Physical Plant Division’s Buildings and Grounds Director Dieter Otto said the completion date may vary due to weather conditions.

The work being done is a result of the $25 increase in parking tag pricing that was implemented by the university in fall 2011. Otto said by the end of August the university will have rebuilt or sealed and striped 60 percent of its parking lots.

Further closings will be announced as the information becomes available, for more details contact Otto at 734-487-0306.
