Apparently, a story written in January 2009 by then Echo columnist Tom Brandt (”“Republicans turned off by size of obama’s package”“:http://archive.easternecho.com/content/republicans-turned-size-obamas-package?page=2) is making the rounds again on the Internet. To clear up any misconceptions: The story is about the stimulus package.
Clad in buttons reading “No Lecturer Left Behind” and taking up more than three rows in 201 Welch Hall, members of EMU’ s Adjunct Lecturers’ Organizing Committee, or ALOC, made their presence known at Tuesday’s regents meeting. Two adjuncts made public remarks to the regents, explaining their decision to form a union.
